Cannot copy/move Mpeg file.

I have a 4.7Gb Mpeg file on a secondary (non boot) HDD that plays back fine but if I try to copy it or move it the process fails at 38% saying it cannot read from source file or disk. How can I fix this? I have run windows error checking on the drive and it found no errors. I am running windows 8.

when u check the drive are u using deep/full scan or "scandisk /r" ? (searching for bad sector)

I used the error checking function in the tools tab of the drives properties

Have you tried running chkdsk /r on the drive or sfc /scannow? The links below may offer some help:

If the results show the drive has no errors then try the sfc /scannow command as this checks for system errors (SFC = System File Checker).

Is the drive formated as NTFS or FAT(32)? I'm assuming NTFS, however if it's FAT32 the file size limt is 4 gig so make sure you can watch the video until the end. It may report 4.7 gb, but it may be truncated.

glad to hear it works out...

but i'm curious, is it scan disk (a bad disk) problem or it because it was fat32 (file size limitation) problem ?
