Hello, I downloaded this file from the Microsoft pages back in 2009. I forgot what purpose it was for, but I knew I wasn't successful in doing whatever I was doing. Now, I want to delete it, but whenever I try, it says:

"You require permission from S=1=5=21=122927821-790525478-839522115-500 to make changes to this folder. "

What do I do? I've tried unlocked to no avail.

You have to take ownership of the folder and sub objects then give yourself permissions.

Right click on the folder and select properties. Select the security tab. Click on advanced. Select the owner tab. Select edit. Select your username from the lower box and check the Replace owner on subcontainers and objects. Then click OK.

That gives you ownership.

Now select the Permissions tab. Clcik change permissions then add. Type in your username. Give yourself full permissions. Check "Replace all child object permissions..." and click OK. Now you have ownership and full permissions to delete.

I just used your tip on a couple of folders on which I had admin rights but still could not access. I don't know why that is but your solution worked for me. Thanks much!!
