Cannot Disable WMM on Cable-Owned Arris Router

I recently received a new cable-issued modem and wireless router. When I originally received it, it worked just fine after disabling the WMM function.

The cable guys came a few days ago and reset the modem to factory default and now when I go to disable WMM I will check the box, hit apply, and then the page will refresh and the box will be checked despite this.

I know having WMM enabled is the direct cause of my recent internet latency and stutter.

Is there any way to disable this function without contacting the cable company?

A lot of these devices default to what the cable company decides are the best settings for the majority of users. In other words, they are not designed to be user serviceable.

You are stuck calling the cable company and seeing what they can offer.
