[SOLVED] Cannot duplicate display but can extend . How to fix?

Hello everyone i can extend my display but i cannot duplicate it says input not supported please help anyone please

What resolution is the laptops screen running at? To use duplicate both displays have to support the same resolutions.

no i used a hdmi to vga converter then i used a vga cable to the external monitor.
