Cannot figure what to upgrade first.

I have ordered the ASUS PB287Q Black 28" 4K UHD monitor and Im affraid my build is a little too old so what do you think i should upgrade to make sure I can play at full resolution without terrible lag?

Why not wait till you get the monitor in and see how things run?

If you don't like the performance, see if the motherboard will run a 93 or 95 series AMD FX, that should be a decent boost in speeds without changing motherboards and having to re-install Windows. For a video card upgrade you'll have to start at the Radeon 280X and go up. At higher quality settings you may need to upgrade things to some pricy equipment, although at Medium quality your current system may do OK.

everything ran great, I tried gaming at 4k. got like 20fps lol but it worked. I set the res down to 1080p for gaming now and everything worked flawlessly, every once in a while frame will drop to 50fps but most of the time its nice and smooth. sorry it took so freaking long lol I had forgotten I had posted this till just a few minutes ago.
