cannot find ahci mode in asus h110m-a bios/uefi

According to one of the posts the previous poster linked to, that board only supports AHCI so there is no option in BIOS to change it. I'll see if I can confirm.

I have seen it mentioned in several places that this is the case, so I would say that it is likely that you cannot change modes on that board.
