Hello all, long time reader but first time poster and computer upgrader. The computer I currently own is here. If the link doesn't come up, it's an MSI MS-7778 mobo running an AMD A8-6500 CPU, all inside a HP computer. I recently bought G.Skill memory and installed it in slots 2 and 4. However, when I entered the BIOS screen (F10) there wasn't anything on there directly related to memory or enabling the AMP process to get to 1833 MHz.

According to Speccy (I also have CPU-Z), the memory runs fine at an actual rate of 665.3 MHz, at timings 9-9-9-24 and dual channel. There's an extra column showing a tRC of 33. It also shows XMP-1866 and timings 10-11-10-30, but there's a blank in the tRC column at the end. Basically, I am asking if I am missing something in the HP BIOS screen, if that screen doesn't have the option for some reason, the memory is bad (maybe just for the system), or the motherboard is messed up. The reason I ask the last thing is because I couldn't get the computer to boot up when I had the memory in slots 1 and 3.

I spent a couple of hours searching on the internet, to no avail. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time, and I hope to get this problem resolved.
