Can anyone give me advise on how to find the Group Editor in the Windows 8.1 operating system? I'm so sick of my login screen popping up if I don't have movement on my laptop every 60 seconds..!! It's beyond aggravating! I'm constantly having to log in..Windows 8.0 has this feature so I can disable the login screen from doing this, so why in the world has it been impossible to find this same feature in Windows 8.1?? Does ANYONE have any information on fixing this problem?? Thank You soooo much!!

Hey,
You can open the Local Group Policy Editor by one of the following methods:

Method 1. Press Win + R, enter gpedit.msc then click OK

Method 2. Open Command Prompt and type gpedit.msc then hit enter

Method 3. Open MMC (Go to Search then type MMC and press enter)

  • File > Add/Remove Snap-in > Group Policy Object Editor > Add
In Select Group Policy Object screen, click on Browse
Select This computer to edit Local Group Policy objects, or click Users to edit Administrator, Non-Administrator objects.
