I've been looking for what feels like forever now and I cannot find the right case.

Sorry, but this has been keeping me up at night.

I want to build a system that can hold TWO RX 480s when they are released.

But I also want a small, cube case. Small as possible.

If I could, the coolermaster Elite 110 would be perfect:

But of course it is mITX and therefore only single GPU.

The Fractal Node 804 is still too big. Too much wasted space.

The best I have found is the silverstone SG12:

But there is still SO much wasted space! I only need one, MAYBE two SSD bays. That's it.

NO optical drive. Waste.

And I only need like 10" for GPU clearance, BUT I WANT TWO GPUS.

Why isn't there a modern, SSD only, mATX cube case without a ton of wasted space?

Update:

Someone has the same idea as me. If they can release this, THIS is what I need!!!

Two RX 480s is a bad idea. It's been tested and a single GTX 1070 is far better, plus with two RX 480 some games don't even support Crossfire period, menaing no performance gains. Then you have poor scaling and other problems, whereas a single GTX 1070 is ideal. Gigabyte has a small 1070 coming out.
If you remove the vertical HDD mounting bracket, the fractal design core 1000 or 1100 might work for you. You can mount your SSD's in the 5.25 bays with adapters.

Case modding is a popular thing these days. You could get the Silverstone SG12 and cut it down yourself or have someone else cut it down for you. Alternatively you could get the Coolermaster Elite 110 and use a flexible riser card to position your second GPU card above your first one. This also might involve some case modding to secure the second card and make its ports accessible.

Because the people who sell cases at a competitive cost need to mass produce them to get the cost down, and to do that they need their product to be flexible to a variety of use cases (scenarios). It's easier to sell a product that has more space than necessary than to sell one that doesn't have enough. It's quite possible to call up a case manufacturer and order a custom designed case--at a custom cost.

It's possible to make your own case from an old toaster oven or even a microwave oven. What is a case? It's sheet metal bent into a box shape. Why bother to even have a case when it doesn't even keep the dust out? You could make a case from a pillowcase with a stick frame using sticks from your yard. You could use an old rabbit cage as a computer case. Seriously.
The case is no big deal. It is an over-hyped plastic and metal box. If you're going to pack your components together into a puck, then you have cooling issues to worry about. If you need two GPU cards then you probably are concerned about performance, which means keeping those cards cool is an issue. When components are spread out more, the heat can dissipate into the air and be carried away more easily. Painted sheetmetal locks in the heat and then a lot of holes have to be drilled in it to make the grill so that air can carry the heat out. Why such WASTE of materials and effort when rabbit cage wire is already vented?
