i am having a del inspiron 1545 laptop and i cannot find the webcam icon, i have searched the whole computer, but the camera is working with skype. what should i do?

If you have some spare time, take a look at this thread from Dell's Community. It dates back to 2008 (!) but apparently, users had problems with the webcam back then, too. Look for a poster called 'RockStar-Rick K' and see if his post makes any sense:

Typically, you click Skype and it will launch the webcam automatically - provided that your webcam works. You don't normally have to click a webcam icon. If the webcam doesn't work, it may be down to missing drivers, or possibly that your Inspiron 1545 is no longer supported.
