cannot format my memory stick

I have got an eight mg class 6 memory disk, when I connect it to my laptop and double click on the drive the following error would appear.

I tried to FORMAT it using HP DISK TOOL but the error "the device is write protected" occurred.

please help me, what should I do????

I would try the memory in another device. If the error persists, it is has gone corrupt, and will need replacement.

If you cannot format it in a Windows computer, then the memory went bad, and the only solution is to replace it.
