Hello,
I am having some issues connecting to the internet while running two connections to the same network. I am trying to utilize one network connection to be bridged directly into a linux box while the other to be used for regular use.. they are both through wifi and around half the time it does seem to work. i have set them to use different dns servers thinking that might help, but alas.. i am not sure what causes my internet to drop, but when both network adapters are connected it gets very shaky sometimes and then eventually dies until i choose just one adapter.. but in some ways i still do have internet, as in some apps still are connected but browser has all kinds of dns complaints and other interesting things to say but no websites.. is there anyway to do this correctly?
i am running windows 8.1 and xunbuntu box with vmware workstation

thanks for reading :)

IP address conflict maybe... Are you using any static IP addresses and ensured that they are outside of the DCHP assigned range? Or specifically reserved for a specific device via the device MAC.

Map out your network with all devices and watch for any IP address conflicts or subnet mask errors. Anything that does not match your expectations and understanding. Start from the modem to the router and so on.... Take a close look at how the VM is configured.

Also look for interference from other wifi networks on the same channels.
