We have a Planar EP6524K-T running mictosoft windows10. According to the manual, such as it is, all that's needed to do to use external speakers is plug the green audio plug into the green audio port. Not happening.
We want to play a mp4 video but the volume is way to low even when the planar's & windows' volumes are set to 100%. We selected the planar's speakers and the realtec audio output but nothing changed. We could not find any way to change the audio output in windows movies & television player, only under control panel or the taskbar. Windows media player won't even recognise the mp4 container.
We updated drivers, rebooted, which was a 20+ minute coffee break, and still the speakers won't work. We tried really old Logitec speakers, new Logi, even a set of Bose. Nothing even tho' they all worked on the pcs we swiped them from. Planar support suggested we do everything we already had. Suggestions? Or do we need to get Tee Hee (Think James Bond) to work on it?
