Cannot get files off iomega hard drive

Hello,
I cannot get anything off prestige portable hard drive usb 2.0 message says have to format first to use it. Iomega shows as mass usb G. IOn device manager it is RAW ...

Was the drive previously formatted to ntfs or fat, you have successfully copied files to it, and now the file system is reported as RAW ?

This FREE utility claims it will recover RAW system file files, although I have not had the occassion to use it.
