Cannot get my displays to output in 120hz with GTX 980 sli in surround display

I've recently upgraded my GPU's from EVGA GTX 580SC to EVGA GTX 980SC. I have a surround set up with 3 displays. Previously I was able to use 1 DVI connection on each monitor because the 580's had 2 DVI connections on each card and the option for 120hz was there. Now with these new cards they each only have one DVI on each card which leaves me with an hdmi or a Displayport to DVI adapter for the third monitor. The problem is I can't achieve 120hz with either. If I connect just the 2 monitors with the DVI connection I get 120hz but soon as I plug in the third whether its hdmi or the DP to DVI adapter connection I only get the option for 60hz.

No idea. You don't even say the resolution let alone the make and model of the monitors.

HDMI 1.3 can run 2560×1600 at 60Hz

Display Port 1.3 can run two 4K (3840×2160 px) computer monitors at 60 Hz

Dual Link DVI can run (2,560 × 1,600) @ 60 Hz

You also gotta have the supporting cables.

So use Display Port where you can for 120Hz.

You think my DP to DVI adapter is the problem then? I do get 120hz on the dvi connections but when i add the third monitor I can only display at 60.

Also depends on what you're doing eg BF4 at Ultra.

i have the same problems, but have different GPUs, my olds was gtx 680s (SLI) and the new ones is GTX 980ti(SLI)
anyone some solution or fix? any update?
