I don't recall ever putting a password on my laptops BIOS, but it seems to have 2.
The first is to get into the BIOS. The second is a user password.

I have an Acer Aspire VX5.591G 15.6" laptop circa Dec 2017.

I disconnected the CMOS battery and the main battery for 24 hours.
When I turned it on, it still had the passwords.

How can I get rid of them?

I can use biosbug.com to get into the BIOS, but I can't remove either the passwords when in the BIOS.

Many thanks.

You can't remove those passwords as they are saved in bios. Would have to replace the bios chip (pointless) or prove you are the owner and send to Acer with Proof of Owner ship to have them remove.
