I just re installed windows after issues related to my new CPU and mobo, and when I went to launch Europa Universalis through Steam, it failed to launch following the Direct X initial setup. I narrowed it down to being an issue with direct X, so I went to download DX Websetup, and it failed, giving me the message "an internal system error occured. Please refer to DXError.log and DirectX.log in your windows folder to determine the problem." I tried researching fixes online, but I found nothing of any value that could help me find a solution to my problem. If anyone has any ways to fix this it would be much appreciated.

You might have some corrupted files, to verify that, do the following:
- Click Start
- Type: CMD, from the results, right click CMD
- Click 'Run as Administrator'
- At the Command Prompt, type: sfc /scannow

This will check for any corrupted files and fix them. Afterwards, you may want to restart your system and try installing DirectX again. Best of luck.
