Hello,
I have been trying to install MS Office Pro 2007 on my Acer computer with Windows 7 Pro installed on it. I keep receiving a message:

D:not a valid 32 bit application

Please give me some insight into this problem.

I have went through the troubleshooter and tried to install it in Windows XP Service Pack 3 mode where I have installed it before.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I tried running the Setup.exe file. Still received the same message. I used the troubleshooter and tried to install it in Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 & 3 mode Still received the same message. If there is another way to get into compatibility mode please tell me how?

Thanks

I installed this software on my Desktop running Windows XP Pro with SP3 without any problems. I am supposed to be able to install iy on a laptop also. Do you think if I copy the files to on the CD to its own directory I might be able to install it that way. The CD just makes a lot of noise trying to install it but the drives works fine with MS Office Pro 2003.

Thanks for the feedback.

Thank you for the tip. I tried copying the cd to the hard drive last night. After 2 hours I gave up. I tried copying individual directories on the cd to a directory I called MSOFFICE2007 I was able to copy one at a time but it took almost half an hour per directory.

Then the cd stopped responding. Any idea what can be causing this. I copied other software to a directory without any problems extremely fast. My laptop is a 4 GIG dual processor and it meets all the spec's according to the software.

Thanks

No, the disk is fine. I loaded it in my desktop and it loaded right up. I took my MS Office 2003 disk and put it in my laptop and it loaded right up. I am really puzzled.

OH Well, maybe I am not supposed to MS Office 2007 on my laptop.

Thanks for the help everyone

One last question, can you load the MS office 2007 in safe mode. Maybe there is something conflicting with the software loading? Just and idea.

Just an idea.
