Cannot install network drivers Windows 10

Hello,
I have been fighting with this issue for a few weeks now and I thought it was fixed but it is not. I recently built my very first PC, and everything is beautiful except the network adapter issue.

I am using a Asus Crosshair VI hero, with a Ryzen 7 1700X. Whenever I try to install the network drivers provided through the download from the Asus site and the intel site (I have tried both) I get an error that says "Cannot install drivers. No Intel(R) Adapters are present in this computer. However the adapter shown on the motherboard box is the Intel I211-AT drive.

The odd thing though, is that the issue is sporadic. It didn't work at first, and then I did a fresh install of Windows, and tinkered with some stuff, and about 7 reboots later, on the 8th reboot it just worked, and the Network adapter showed up. Fast forward to yesterday (after about a week) it just stopped again. Network adapter was gone and I cannot get it back.

I have attempted reinstalling windows, BIOS settings, BIOS flashbacks, multiple different LAN downloads to see if there is something different, automatic updates, uninstalling updates, pretty much everything.

Any and all help is appreciated!

If you look in the device manager, do you have any devices with a yellow exclamation point or question mark? If so, right click that device and select uninstall. If not, then windows is not seeing the network adapter at all. The most likely reason would be it is defective. Good news is that with your motherboard only a couple weeks old, it should be easy to get a replacement. If you don't feel like getting a replacement (return shipping could easily be $20), then I would suggest getting a good PCIe Ethernet card (which will run you about $20).

Kinda sucks for a high end motherboard, but it happens.

Got one on the way already. I really do not feel like taking this thing apart and waiting out the RMA process. More so just wanting to see if this is something that can be fixed in the settings. Also maybe learn a thing or two. Thank you
