So, i'm not new with computers, love them from when i was young... MSDOS, WIN 3.1, ...
But i have never encountered anything like this, i guess im just getting old and lazy.

So i have this setup (see below) and i added a new m.2 ssd - WD Black 850x. I tried installing a new version of BIOS, put factory defaults. Changed USB thumb drive, USB ports, different windows image, ... and i cannot complete the installation. It ends with BSOD. Here's two of them: First right after installation is SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION... and sometimes is KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE.

Failure of new M2 drive is not possible - checked with multiple tests, all is OK.
PC in the same configuration works just fine with other SSD (with this m.2 inside, visible data aso).

From my last attempt, i have one dump file - DumpStack.txt if it helps.

Any ideas? Because im out of them :(

So, update: 1 stick makes no difference, that's what i thought. Firmware is latest on the WD 850x.
I took the drive to work and installed Windows here perfectly, will see what happens at home setup. Then the only thing is probably in the MB - but what?

Do you have another hard drive you can install windows onto using the problem system. That will eliminate a faulty mobo. That would leave you with either a component incompatability or possible bios settings etc. The m.2 has been successful on the other system. Try it if you can.

So... i found the solution - and you'll never know what the problem was.

After doing some more troubleshooting (since - system was working fine on win11 installation on SSD - with same configuration, with new m2. inside), performing again (7th time) new fresh installation on m.2, i finally managed to get and complete the windows installation.
I was wondering - why? How did it complete this time, without BSOD? Well... after installing all the Motherboard drivers, that i took from the other SSD... i plugged in the ethernet cable (which i had uplugged, since i was removing GPU, trying out other M.2 ports, memory sticks, ...) and BANG - BSOD.
Restart - left cable inside - BANG, bsod.

Oh my god.

As you can see from HW info, i did use an external (PCI-E) network card, but would never thought this was the issue, since other OS on SSD worked with no problems. I guess, never presume anything.

I went on the manufacturers website, got drivers on other OS, booted on new OS on m.2 without cable plugged, installed drivers and voila, everything works.

Now, i can die peacefully. Meh.

Thanks all for your will to help out and all your suggestions.
