Hello Tom's Hardware community,
I recently built my first pc, but am having trouble installing windows from a usb flash drive. This drive is BRAND NEW. It is 32gb so it is definitely big enough. My usb drive does have the Windows 10 iso file, but I downloaded that from a mac. I went through the whole boot camp assistant process to create a bootable usb drive. However, whenever I select the usb flash drive for the pc to boot from, there is a black screen with a small white line that keeps flashing, like it is going to start the windows install process. But it never does, it is just stuck in that screen. Is there a problem with creating a bootable usb drive on a mac, or is it something else? FYI I basically followed this to create the bootable usb drive.

I do have an old windows xp pc that I could reformat the drive with if needed.

Is their a problem with the drive, and what do I need to do?

Thanks
