Cannot keep remote working after S3 wake...

Howdy folks!

I've done all sorts of searching and reading on the internet and tomshardware. The problem I am having is that my Hauppauge 1600 & 1250 remote does not seem to like my HTPC going to sleep. Once it enters S3 then my remote basically stops functioning. I suppose its my IR receiver rather. I've tried disabling power saving options on my PCI/E ports under power options. I have updated the latest Hauppauge drivers and I've emailed and called their support and to only get an "update your drivers" response. After I upgraded from Vista Home Premium 32 bit to Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, I started getting this issue. I recently just installed the Windows 7 SP1. This has been an issue prior to and after the service pack as well. Has anyone had this problem? Does anyone have a solution? Tips?

I didn't find an EXACT workaround. I ended up programming myharmony remote to go to the main menu on MC and then the "down, down, left, ok". it kind of stinks but it works. I HAD at one point used the "power" button on my Hauppauge remote to program a button on myharmony to turn it straight off. it actually worked for a while! Then, it for some reason stopped! lol

Ohhhh! Wrong thread reply lol! sorry about that. With the Hauppauge cards, I ended up replacing their remote and receivers with a microsoft Rosewill remote and receiver. I ended up losing the ability to turn off WMC in "one touch" though. However, the remote can and will put my htpc to sleep and wake it back up again!
