I am running W8.1 on a Lenovo IdeaPad U430 touch, with a somewhat older Intel Core i7 and 8G of RAM. It is set up with facial recognition. Today it opens with the facial recognition algorithm. It recognizes me, but, now, it asks for a password saying mine was changed. I did change it over a week ago when a similar problem popped up. I try to type in the new password, and, before I can finish typing, it takes me to the "Guest" page. In other words, I cannot even complete typing in the password.

I may have caused this problem, but, if I did, I cannot remember how.

I plan to install W10, but I need to back up personal files, and I cannot get to them.
Can anyone help. Oh, my typing for the password is slow and accurate.

Try this:
Put a piece of tape over the camera and type as fast as you can.

Other than that, there is nothing you can do aside from starting up in safe mode and hoping that garbage lenovo packs with their system isn't set up to run even in safe mode. If your password works in safe mode you can then get rid of that lenovo garbage and back up your system

How do I start in Safe Mode? As I recall, I think I have to press one of the F buttons.
