Cannot log into my new windows 7 laptop forgot password

Hello,
my son got a new laptop today put a password in it and forgot it

i find it suspicious when someone's very first (and likely only) post is regarding circumventing a password on a laptop, i just can't shake the hunch it's not actually your laptop.

New laptop, just restore it to factory defaults, will wipe the drive, make it good as new. In one day you probably did not have time to add many files to it.
