Today when I turned on my pc, it asked me for a password. I thought it was odd because I had never set a password. I tried to use the password reset option but it asked me for a password recovery floppy. Only problem is I never made a password to begin with, let alone this recovery floppy. I am confused as to what to do next? How would I turn off the windows password, if I cannot access windows directly?

There are LOTS of password crackers out on the net, if you have access to another computer! Ultimate Boot CD/UBCD for Windows are two good CD tools to have for many reasons...You might ask your best friend or whoever might have used your computer about the password.
