Cannot Open File Explorer

I'm on Windows 10 and this os brought me nothing but problems. The first one was Steam window not opening when I tried to launch it (reinstalling fixed it). Now the same thing happens to file explorer. I try to click it and it opens but the window doesn't appear at all (it shows the desktop when i hover over it and does nothing at all when I click on it) so I can't get access to important stuff. Please help with this. I updated Windows and it still don't work.

Have a go with this tutorial to perform a repair install with your updates in place.

Worst case would be to move all your sensitive/critical data onto an external drive and perform a clean install of Windows 10.

^ It doesn't matter now. I fixed the problem a few days ago. What happened was file explorer had mysteriously moved itself to the far right of my screen where I couldn't see it but, moving the mouse there and dragging it to the middle where I can see it fixed the problem. Everything works perfectly now.
