Hello all, and happy new year ,

I am encountering something strange on my private network.

I have 3 PCs linked with WiFI, private network set, no passwords, 128 bit encryption,

PC #1 Win10 Pro, kind of "the server" (Windows1909 ; FRESH install )
PC #2 Win10 family, laptop (Windows1903)
PC#3 Win 8.1Pro

All 64 bit. All have some shared contents (printer, directories...)

PC#2 and PC #3 can access each other, and can acces PC#1

But PC#1 cannot access the #2 & #3.
The only thing PC#1 can do is to ping successfully the WiFI router , and surf on the Web ...
and only see the other PCs names in the network... but when attempting to access the shared content : error
When pinging their IP adresses : error

that's really strange.

I dont have any 3rd party antiviruses. Only Malwarbytes installed but the basic version.

Some of you have any ideas how to solve my issue?

All are DHCP.

Yes all can ping the router .

I am sure my router dont have this feature.
But in fact i posted in the Windows section, because everything was fine before the fresh reinstall of the Win10 1909 ...

So i think it's only windows setup ...

PING doesn't know about windows unless there is a firewall issue. If you can ping the router IP, then you should be able to ping any other IP in the network.

Yes, I checked the IP while PCs #2 and 3 are switched on , then ran to the PC#1 , triedf to ping.
Then triedd to browse via the networking center

And i can see their names, but the ping is cannot reach . And with double clicking on their NetBios (??) names, windows is saying me the path is not correct. (so why displaying the names ... )

And this connection is the ONLY network that these hosts have ?

Yes , they can ping and more interesting, they can access the shared materials of PC#1 s ( directories, printer ...)
And they can access each other too .

It's what I wrote in the first message.
The only issue is from PC#1 to others, since I reinstalled Windows 10

all the other parts of the network are OK

I don't know what in an OS install could prevent ping from working. Have you verified that the network is private vs public on PC3 ?

The only thing, i maybe I made a bad setup about network when installing...

Like choosing residential group or something like that.

Because before PC#1 wasnt identified as multimedia server and now, it is .
