Ok guys thanks for reading this ahead of time. So, I'm having an issue I can't resolve right now and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I have a 2012 box setup right now on a VM in VMware running on a 10.5.x.x network. using VMware's NAT.
My desktop is on a 10.10.x.x network as well as everything else. I have an additional laptop that I've been using to practice with and a wireless router which are both on a 10.100.x.x network.

My problem currently is that I cannot Remote Desktop to the server. I've used wireshark to confirm that "Some" information is getting there, but it won't connect fully.
I literally disabled the firewall, port forwarded and am able to ping the server (Only from my desktop.) The laptop on the 10.100.x.x won't make connectivity at all. I can see fragments of an echo request, but it's like something isn't forwarding the information correctly. My desktop on the 10.10.x.x pings and communicates with the server as it should, however though it won't let the Remote Desktop application follow through with connecting. It gets as far as the password dialogue and refuses the connection. I know the password is correct.

Is there something special I need to do other than:
Disable firewall (Testing purposes only)
Enable rules on the firewall (Testing only)
Port forward
check username and password

I'm not sure what else I need to do to get this to work.

Go into server manager make sure the firewall options are enabled then go to advance and set them to allow all traffic through. I'm my experience 2012 doesn't like it when you disable the actual service but if you do it like I explained it will give you some flexibility on how you configure it.

I'm still not able to connect to it with the laptop, my desktop though will now connect. Only when the firewall is completely disabled.
I'm not sure what else I can enable in windows firewall. As of right now, when firewall is on; Nothing works. Firewall off, everything works as it should.
Could just be my installation Server 2012?
