Cannot replace the original hard drive on a Lenovo B570

Hi,

I wanted to replace the 500 gb hard drive of my Lenovo B570 by a SSD.
Unfortunately, the machine does not seem to be able to recognize any other hard drive than the one it was shipped with (ssd or hd).
Is there some Bios configuration or anything else I should check?

By 'not recognize' what do you mean exactly? What are you seeing or not seeing when you turn on? And what SSD are you using?

The latest ssd I tried was a Crucial BX200 480 Gb.
Here is exactly what I do, which works on any otner machine I have.
I clone the hard drive using Image For Windows, then I replace the original drive by the clone.
This procedure has always worked, except on this machine.
