Hello All,
Looking for help from the experts.

My system:
Mb: GA P55-UD3 rev1. (Bios F11)
CPU: i7 860
RAM: Mushkin 996996 DIMM 8GB DDR3-2133 DUAL REDLINE (New ram)
GPU: Sapphire 7770 vapor x (1gb)
HDD: SSD OCZ Agility 3 120Gb

Enabled XMP - 3 boot failures - ram runs at 1600.

Tried manually playing with voltages, multiplier, blck and CPU choices (speedstep) without any success.

RAM will run maximum at 1944Mhz at any combination (multiplier and BLCK) xmp enabled or disabled.

Actually after lots of experiments I realized that whenever BLCK is above 162 system won't boot.
162 seems to be the maximum limit.

Why?
I would love to have the ram running at 2133 not for any particular reason just because it is supposed to....

RAM has been checked with memtest86 with no errors.

Any tips, help would be much appreciated..

Thank you in advance and Happy New Year!

Already did that. Did not see any light.
RAM multiplier (SPD) has these values: auto, 6, 8, 10, 12.
At 12 the RAM will run at 1600.

I have tried also playing with QPI which has these options: auto, 32, 36 but nothing..

What am I doing wrong?

Your motherboard doesn't officially support 2133MHz only 2200/1600/1333/1066/800 MHz. You need to run the ram at 1.65V.

That is true, but if it can support 2200 I don't understand why 2133 cannot be achieved. RAM when XMP is chosen runs at 1.65 but nothing happens.
With manually adjusting the voltage to 1.64 still nothing

Tried that already: set it to 1.30 but nothing. (RAM spec's for xmp are 1.65volt and VTT 1.1volt)
Tried the above also in conjunction with disabling speedstep, C1, and e.t.c. on CPU tweaking but nothing.

I need to go above BCLK 163. Why it does not accept it? (mb gives the choice up to 200)
Any specific settings that I should follow?
A set of values would help

If a bit of OC is required I believe the H60 cooler would handle it.

Ok. This makes total sense. Thank you ganon11000.

Now are there any suggested settings in BIOS to clock the RAM a bit higher but without loosing any of the CPU HT or speedstep?

So far the best and totally stable with all in auto would be 162 x 21 giving 3,4 GHz (RAM at 1944) at a temp of 37oC.
I prefer running the machine at 150x21 (RAM at 1800 with CL 7-8-8-27)

However I am dying to get the BCLK above 162 and be able to boot.......

This problem is solved thanks to Mushkin online help....

The only setting needed to be done was to set the tRFC value to 220 on BIOS. ONLY that.

After doing this everything works perfect. Any BLCK amd multiplier combination, any kind of oc even up to 4GHz without probles and system stable.

and by just enabling xmp ram goes smoothly to 2133...
