Cannot run games in fullscreen - Any suggestion?

Hi Guys,

I have finished to built a PC for my nephew and installed a couple of games, The Witcher Enanched Edition and Team Fortress 2...

Now the problem is that every tot second both games kick me back to desktop and I have to "alt tab" to return to the game...

What do you think is the cause of it?

Also...writing this post I have notice that every tot second the "focus" goes away as if I clicked somewhere outside the text box... which is really weird!

Do you think is a problem generate by the keyboard / mouse defective creating false signal?

First time I see something similar...

Windows 7 Ultimate
HD7770 with latest drivers
Asrock motherboard with i3

What antivirus program do you use? Most of them are awful and will do that to you when you're fullscreen.

AVG...I have asked him to uninstall it....and it stil doing it...

I am thinking of the keyboard sending false input...as the problem occur with two different games! I can't think of the graphic card being the cause.

I so prefer windows 8.1 no trouble for gaming or drivers...7 is just an old mess!!!

When I used to use AVG it did that to me ALL THE TIME. I have a good feeling it's just AVG being AVG. Use Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) instead. It never tabs you out.

I have found a solution searching deeply into the forum, I opened msconfig and disabled all non microsoft services and then enabled again some and it worked... as his pc was a fresh install there was only AVG or the software for the TP-LINK mobile dongle (which isn't needed anyway).

I still think Windows 8 is ages ahead of Windows 7... I really cannot use 7 anymore xD

I had this same problem a few years back. Whenever I was gaming, the screen would go completely black for a few seconds and then come back to life only to find that the game I was playing was then windowed. Also, when typing, I experienced some weird problems too. Turned out to be a malware or something. Change in video card drivers also helped.
