Hello, everyone. I am having a problem running both Red Alert 2 & Yuri's Revenge. I when I run the game from the "First Decade" menu or from the executable file directly (ra2.exe or yuri.exe). I get the following error:

Main executable for Red Alert 2 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

OR

Main executable for Yuri's Revenge has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

I have tried setting compatibility settings in the properties of those two files as well as the rest of the executable ones (game.exe, gamemd.exe, mph.exe, mphmd.exe, & ra2.exe) by running the program under Windows 98/Me & checking "Full Controll" under Users. I have also tried right clicking on ra2.exe & yuri.exe, choosing "Run As" and selecting "Current User" with & without restricted access as well as "The Following User" & choosing "Administrator" (there is only one account on the OS), but these didn't resolve my problem.

I can run the original Command & Conquer game as well as Tiberian Sun & Firestorm with no problem (these are the only ones I chose to install). I am stumped. I've seen topics here where people are having trouble running these games on the 64-bit version of Windows 7 with solutions, but I haven't seen any topics that are specific to my problem. Can Red Alert 2 & Yuri's Revenge even run on the 64-bit version of Windows XP?

Someone please throw me a bone, as I would love to play this game. Thank you.

Solution
If there's a code that came with the game you could try downloading

Steam and then redeeming the code there and get a digital version.

Besides keeping everything updated.
