This is really aggravating, this thing just will not snap in. The 20 pin snaps in, but not with the 4 pin. I've given it as much force as can be permitted. Not sure if the PSU is to blame or what.

That happens sometimes, you can leave it as is, hoping it doesn't somehow magically pop out while para-shooting into a BF4 map.

OR

Shave a little off if your worried too much pressure might break something.

That was just for the picture taking, of course I do align it when trying to put it in. And yet the 4 pin is slightly taller than the 20 pin, I think that could be my issue?

Veladem, are you saying I should take some sandpaper to the 4 pin?

Nope, I'd start with the 20P from the bottom, if you are getting a solid connection, which I've seen some real ghetto crap done, then sand from the bottom OR sand the MoBo tooth that locks the 20P in place and try to get the 4P to line up so it seats with the 20P.

Only do these after exhausting all other methods of course. In truth, I've done this to maybe three boards, and no one has come back with issues yet.

Not sure I understand, the 20 pin seats alright without the 4 pin, why would I shave the 20 pin? Also the 4 pin has to go in first.

From my (newb) perspective it seems like you either have to remove the notch that forces the taller 4 pin to the 20 pin, or shave the 4 pin.
