Hi,
I'm trying to fix a friends acer laptop. when i go to install windows with a usb that i put an iso onto . i have to select a partition and cannot select one.. it shows that i have 4 partitions

Disk 0 partition 1; pqservice 14.6gb total 840mb free oem (reserved)
disk 0 partition 2 ; STSTEM RESERVED 100mb total 86 mb free primary
disk 0 partition 3; System Reserved 100 mb total 86mb free system
disk 0 partition 4 450gb total 450gb free primary

I try clicking on one and it wont let me.... before this i was trying to install with the same usb.... and i was able to choose before.. so i chose partition 4 to install windows 7 onto and it was working until i got an error saying something like windows cannot instal on this partition.

So i looked up what the error message meant and it told me i needed to delete all my partitions then create a new one in order to install windows. so i was going to do that. but now instead of there only being 3 partitions like before... now after that error message, theres 4... the new one is partition 3.... and now i cannot select any of them to delete.

any advice? thanks in advice
