Cannot send emails in Windows Live Mail

I can receive but NOT send emails in Windows live mail. Tried so far: Read all the forums & tried their advice, repaired WLM, uninstalled and re-installed WLM, built new machine, formatted HDD, loaded Win 7 then WLM, NOTHING works. It used to but not now. It works (Ver 2009) on another PC with XP

What email account you are trying to send with? Hotmail? Yahoo? GMail? Company?

I haven't used WLM in a while, but you should be able to compare account settings between working and non-working setups (especially, port numbers and SSL settings).

Yes, that is the very first thing I did. I have matched EXACTLY the same settings between
a working and non working machine all to no avail, tried different port settings etc, all to no avail. I am
Using Yahoo.co.UK. Got a tablet, works great, but don't know what client it is. Also got a laptop in Australia,
also works fine with WLM. I am located in France and if I take the laptop to Holland or UK, still does not work.
I am now looking at changing the email client. Tried inky which did not work at all!!! Going to look at others,
suggestions welcome.
