I have a couple of Dell U2412M monitors that I'd like to use in a triples setup (along with a BenQ BL2420PT).
I have successfully set the resolution of the Dells to 2560x1440 (via CRU), but that will give me a distorted image (slightly squished horizontally). This makes sense as it's a 16:10 monitor.
So, doing various calculations and approaches I've come up with a bunch of resolutions that might work for this setup (2304x1440, 2320x1440 or 2499x1562), but when I try to use any of them (after defining them in CRU and then applying them either via the Windows Display screen or NVIDIA's control panel), the screen either just goes black or gives me this error.
I tried forcing GPU scaling in NVIDIA's control panel, but that had no effect.
What am I doing wrong?
Can the monitor only do certain resolutions? And if so, what are the limitations (and how do I find them out)? Or, since the error is about the frequency, do I have to play around with them?
Thanks for any pointers — I'm stuck...
