Question Cannot set Over Provisioning on Samsung SSD 990 Pro

I just finished cloning my Samsung 970 evo C drive to my new Samsung 990 pro. After finishing the clone, I swapped the 990 to my main M2 slot (slot 1), and rebooted.

I extended my partition to take up the unallocated space, and then started Samsung Magician to set the OP. Whenever I set the OP, regardless of the percentage, I get the error:

"Could not set the selected size. Try a smaller value."

Does anyone know what would be causing this? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried resizing the C partition using Windows Disk Management?
Go to "Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management".
Are you suggesting resizing the partition in Windows Disk Management as an alternative to Samsung's Over Provisioning? Does it achieve the same thing?

You cannot configure over provisioning using Samsung Magician if you don't have any free space on the drive.

Resize the Windows partition, leaving 10% free at the end of the drive. I use EaseUS Partition Master if Windows Disk Manager is being awkward.

When you've shrunk the C: drive partition, run Samsung Magician and tell it to use the free space at the end of the drive for over provisioning.

10% is only a recommendation by Magician. You could allocate less space, e.g. 8%, 5%.

This space will be "lost" to Windows.
