Cannot set up static IP for use with PS4

Hello i use to have a static ip on my pc to use on my consoles for a OPEN NAT type and i have recently done some hardware updates to my pc which removed my static ip so i did everything i did before and now when ive done it, in the bottom right where it has the image of the Ethernet connection it has a warning sign threw it, so then i make windows detect the problem and it says that dhcp is not enabled or something but if i click resolve it gets rid of the static ip! 🙁 ive tried everything even to make it work and it wont and its horrific as my ps4 is always on strict nat now. i use to have it set up as static ip then ports for ps4 and black ops 3 and they're all open as i check them after i do them then the ps4 is absolutely fine but the past few weeks is bad sorry for the long explanation thanks for any help 🙁

tried in the router configuration page telling it to always assign the same ip to this device?

dont really do that stuff but pretty sure my router has something like always assign the same ip to this device in it

ill check when i get home its annoying my ps4 is rendered useless until its fine again

just double checked and yes in the devices section it has always use this ip address for this device

though will depend on your router

its not really something i am too familiar with so if that doesnt help sure some one else will give another suggestion for you

ah yeah im on virgin still using the ancient superhub and they wont budge to give us a free upgrade even though we have been customers of theres for over 10 years now

no virgin or other cable companies down here unfortunately

see if it helps any way have no clue about virgin hubs unfortunately so might be able to do it might not

probably easier just to look in your router page yourself--if their support is anything like some of the uk ones they are pretty clueless and follow a yes/no flow

chart and if you ask something not on that they dont know what to do
