So, I have an MSi Z87 GD65 Motherboard, which came with Killer Networking drivers for the Ethernet hardware. I had problems with it when I bought it, and so I eventually I just used the bare drivers as I heard the Network Suite could cause BSOD's and lag spikes when playing games. Problem is, I recently updated my drivers, and am beginning to have harsh ping (800+ms) when I play games. I checked, and even though when I search for the network suite from the start menu nothing comes up, it still appears in the list of installed programs. The problem is I can't uninstall it. Every time I try it says "cannot complete installation" and stops. I downloaded the bare drivers from MSi Live update, but I can't run the setup because it says I need to uninstall Qualcomm Atheros Network Suite. I've heard of KillerCleaner64, but I can't seem to find it anywhere, and on top of that, I'm not sure how to go about uninstalling a program that will refuse to uninstall.

Solution
It seems it is a little harder to replace the e2205 chipset stuff than e2200. Still the recommended solution is the killer cleaner software but the last links I had for it are now dead so I do not know a safe place to download it from.

After fighting this on someone else machine forever to get rid of the killer crap (it was a e2200) I now tell everyone never buy a motherboard with killer network stuff. When I recently bought a motherboard this was the very first thing I checked...if it had killer network it was off my list to even consider.

It seems you can no longer download the qualcomm atheros drivers from qualcomm. There are links to other location but it is unclear if that will work.

You could try to install the "standard driver" from this page

Pretty bad when the company that make a product actually releases drivers that remove all their so called "features" rather than fix it or maybe put a option to disable the features in the driver.

There are always very inexpensive pci nic cards with intel chips on them if you get frustrated enough.

Solution
I'll try it, thank you, but the update from Live Update included the bare drivers, but I can't run the setup as it says I need to uninstall the qualcomm atheros software first. Maybe this one will work.

EDIT: I installed the provided link, and while it let me install it after a restart it showed no device adapter in my network adapters list. Upon opening the device manager I noticed it had renamed the device to "ethernet controller" (which I am sure it's supposed to) but it had a yellow triangle icon (I think this means it needs updated for it to work?) And so the only "drivers" I had were from the driver only update of the killer networking nic controller I got from Live update. I'm not sure if this has worked and will report back if I learn anything.
