Hello. I currently use a Phillips TV as my monitor. My video card is an Asus 290x 4gb. Since I wanted to do 4k60hz, I bought the club3d displayport 1.2 to HDMI 2.0. It all works fine and dandy until I actually switch the settings to the said resolution. When I do that, the screen goes black and only comes back when windows reverts it to the last resolution. I can actually select it, but it won't work. I tried changing the colordepth on the radeon extra settings menu and it didn't solve the issue. I'm also unable to create custom resolutions on said menu. both the 1080p60Hz and 4k30hz resolution work fine on their own.

Yes, albeit I'm not so sure it is 2.0 now (which I tough it was at the time I wrote the post). I'll buy one just to make sure and report back.

No, it doesn't. If it had I wouldn't have had this problem 🙁 . I think it's mainly tied with it being a tv instead of a computer focused monitor. By the way, is the HDCP a problem the adapter won't solve or might not solve? If it might not, what causes this variation? EDIT: The adapter says it creates the HDCP 2.2 signal, so it should be able to handle it.

Well, after using the new cable I was still unable to achieve 60hz trough normal means, but using a custom resolution allowed me to bypass it somewhat (thanks to the new radeon patch). If I try to force it to 60hz on any other way however, it still won't work. I'll mark this as a solved since it did fix it to some extent, but I hope to find a better way in the future. Thanks for all the suport in the meanwhile.
