Guys i need help...i own a 1080p monitor..but i cannot use dsr..i have the latest drivers and i own a gtx 970...dunno why for some reason..in the 3d manage settings...my native resolution is being shown as 1024*768..although i own a full hd monitor...and when i turn on DSR....the highest resolution in the options is 1920*1080..where as others get 1440p and 4k resolutions...why is this happening..any ideas?

Solution

Hey...this is a very old thread :O yes, its working....all i needed to do was buy a DVI cable instead of VGA ....DSR works perfectly now

I hate to ask the stupid question, but I am trying to make sure we have done all the simple things first.

I am guessing you know that its not the desktop resolution you can change, so what games have you tried for that 2560x1440 resolution?

Kind of surprised that it has downgraded your desktop to a lower resolution than what I presume can normally reach 1920x1080 though, if that is what is happening. You would need someone who knows more about it than I do to help you there.

of course mate..i changed the resolution in the game only...firstly i tried changing it in saint rows 4 gat to hell....then dragon age inquisition...then i thought these games might not support DSR...so i tried those games which are used for benchmarks..i downloaded crysis 3...metro last night..bioshock infinite..etc...in none of those games DSR worked...in some the screen went black...while in others everything became abnormally big which u see when you do not use DSR....
