Canon A510 as S300 replacement?

I've got an aging Canon S300. I played with the A510 which just arrived
at best buy. It seems like a modest improvement over the S300
(particularly 4x zoom and faster focusing.)

Is it worth the upgrade/side-grade, given its low price?

Who cares? It is a better camera. Is it better enough than the S300 to
justify buying is the question.
