After updating my Canon PIXMA MX922 printer driver, I get a message on Windows 10 64bit Pro startup saying it could not find the module CNMSS. The printer works fine, so this is just a nuisance. Canon "support" says uninstall and reinstall the driver. That doesn't work. I can't find a startup program or service with this name. Can't find it in the registry either, though there are a lot of other entries starting with cnmss with other additional letters. It seems a lot of folks the have this problem but no solutions. Any suggestions?

1| Can you please pass on your full system's specs off which your printer is connected? Have you made sure that your motherboard BIOS and remaining device drivers(namely chipset and/or USB) are up to date?

2| Have you tried installing the drivers/support installer in an elevated command:
Right click installer>Run as Administrator?

3| You may also want to run the printer's drivers installation in compatibility mode to a previous revision of Microsoft's Windows OS:
Right click installer>Properties>Compatibility>Windows 7/8 from drop down menu.

4| Just so we're on the same page, you've tried installing drivers found off their support page located here, right?

Lutfij:
Thanks for the reply and suggestions. My BIOS and all device drivers are current. I did uninstall and re-install the printer drivers from the Canon website and ran the install as an administrator. The drivers are supposedly Windows 10 compatible. No joy. Then I fixed the problem by finding and disabling a Canon startup item I had missed before. Unfortunately, this was a month ago and I forget what it was. The printer works fine as do all Canon applications.
