:x My recently purchased canon i960 will not feed letter size paper,
i've tried with that 4x6 feeder thinger in and with it out. I'm
thinking that that cartridge must have stuck somehow because it's the
side where the 4x6 isn't that is not feeding through,, is there some
way of fixing this? i'm ready to throw it against the wall!! any
help is much appreciated! thank you :)

Hello, patsplat!

If you haven't called Canon I suggest you do so. Their service is top notch
and at least for me they had a replacement printer to me at no cost when I
had a problem.

Thanks.

Make sure your printer driver is set for the correct page size

Thanks, contacted canon, they said take it to service, which is an
hour drive away as i live in the country.

I"ve checked paper selected, cleaned th rollers and even sent paper in
through the back, i'm pretty sure it has to do with that 4x6 cartridge
thing, must be jamed or something. I've tried with that in and with it
out. I guess i'm off to the service depot.

Thanks again!
Pat 😀

I had a similar problem and found that a q-tip I'd used for cleaning had
dropped in and was hidden under the cover plate above the feed rollers.
But I didn;'t know thise until I shoved a cover-stock weight page
through (just pushed on it when the feed rollers grabbed it), which
brought the offending object out front. That fixed it. You may have
something stuck there, as you surmise, but failing my trick, you'll have
to take that hour-long trip. Whyncha make it an excuse for a dinner and
movie date with your sig. other? That's what we do - we live 1-1/2 hours
from the nearest service centres.

Design issue with i960: you can't expose enough of the paper path to
find foreign objects.

Thanks! I managed to get a regular piece of paper to feed through the
back entry, just not through the regular route, I'll try theheavy
stock see if that works,, like they say,, if it don't fit,,,,force it
and if that don't work, i'll take the dogs for a long drive,, they're
better company then the ..."other" lol

Thanks again! Pat
