Hi guys quick question.

My Office just got an upgrade for a printer and I decided to get an old one home. IT's pretty big but it works.
Problem was that because we never replaced color tuner in there and only black they got REALLY bad and because of BAD color tuners whole thing got messed up.
Lines everywhere. Office decided instead of investing in complete set of tuners (originals are a lot of money) they just purchased new monochrome unit.
What I did I went on ebay and purchased 4 compatible toners and everything works just fine now. Only 2 concerns I have is black is not REALLY black it's more gray, but I think that's because of poor toner quality more than anything. But that's fine I'll get better one next time but real problem is this.

I looked in the back and on transfer belt is a line of powder it does not visible on the paper but it's there I can see it from the back. IS this normal ? I mean should I take whole thing out and clean it somehow ? Printer does have ITB cleaning function and I did that but line still there.

I looked up on internet and they do sell new ITB unit but it's like $200+ for it.

Any suggestions on how to clean it if it'll get on paper somehow down the road, or it's normal operation and little line is beyond printing area.

Thank you.

I'm not sure about that model, but most laser printers have some sort of waste toner receptacle, often called a waste toner bottle. If it fills up, toner can start leaking into the rest of the printer.

As far as the grey colored blacks, check and see if the printer software has any sort of setting that forces using the black toner. Depending on how it handles color, it may be trying to mix black out of the colored toners. There's usually at least a setting for forcing black toner only for text.
