I just bought a Canon LBP-660 without a manual. It's working well on XP.

I have no idea how to find the page count, or self-test. Besides, a
manual might tell me something useful.

If there's a PDF copy out there, or a spare I could buy with Paypal, I'd
be grateful.

In the UK, you can purchase them from Robert Scott Associates:

That was the first place I tried, being on the support site, but sadly
they have neither a copy nor a means of acquiring one.

I hope someone eventually will tell me how to get a self-test page out
of the printer, with the configuration details. I grew up using HP kit,
which is why this Canon is so impenetrable.

Hopefully someone will give you a definitive answer, but you could try
downloading one of the manuals at the Canon Australia website
(http://www.canon.com.au/support/manuals.html). Whilst they don't have
the LBP-660, it might prove helpful to look in other models' guides to
see how Canon printers generally work. Sorry not to have been of more help.
