Canon mp780 printer head

says wrong cartrige before that would not print black till I clean it like 12 times worked a few days then wrong cartrige any tricks I should know or just replace it?

Is it an original canon cartridge or is it a re-manufactured one? If it's re-manufactured, some printers tend to recognize this and will give you trouble for it. In either case, I'd return it and get a new cartridge.
