More info?)
Well, after much debating within myself, I've decided to return the MP780 to
Staples. I got it for $199, but think I'll wait for the next Canon
generation. Maybe (pigs will fly!) they will consider putting a good fax
software package with the AIO if they truly want to compete with HP in this
HP-dominated market. I don't absolutely have to have one right now. I have
an HP T45 AIO that is quite old technology-wise, but still works. I really
wanted a good flatbed scanner and photo printer AIO, but Canon's lack
(really dumb on their part) of including fax software was the killer for
this machine in my opinion. Just a bit of cost cutting that puts them a
notch under the many versions of AIO HP printers. Now, if HP would just go
to individual ink cartridges, I'd be happy with them and buy another.
