Question Canon Rebel xsi shows black horizontal band across the top of images.

The black band appears when shutter speed is higher than 1/100s. The faster the speed the darker the band gets. Aperture has no effect on this.

If yes, check your X-sync setting.

If no, contact canon for tech support.
