My Canon DV camcorder worked perfectly with XP SP1 but
since upgrading to SP2 there is now a driver present that
says it is for Canon DV Camcorder. The preview picture
and recorded picture is now pixellated.
Using Windows Movie maker the input is set correctly to
PAL but the capture section says it is NTSC. I think
there may be a driver issue.
Does anyone know of a generic driver that might work?
Same problem through Adobe Premiere or even just
previewing it in My Computer so it must be a low level
fault.

I've got what seems to be exactly the same problem after an SP2 upgrade, also
with a Canon camcorder (an MV20), using MovieMaker and using Pinnacle Studio
9. I get a single pixellated frame which won't play. The software will drive
the camera, though.

There appear to be other users in the same or very similar position. So far
Microsoft haven't got beyond saying it's a Canon problem, and vice-versa.

Anyone else?
